One person in custody following early morning police raid in Upper Yoder Township, authorities say

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Authorities say one person was taken into custody early Thursday morning following an alleged police raid at a home along Old Hickory Lane, in Upper Yoder Township. Officials say the arrest was part of an investigation by the state attorney general's office. Police say the individual, who has not yet been identified, was arrested on an active drug warrant. Authorities with Johnstown Police, Upper Yoder Police, Cambria County SERT and state parole assisted with the arrest.

When Taylor Swift said “meet me in the pouring rain,” she meant it. The pop superstar took a sold-out, 70,000 person crowd through a journey of 17 years of music at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts Saturday night -- in downpours. The midnight rain didn’t stop her, as she showcased her evolution as an artist during a 3.5 hour setlist made up of 45-songs from each era of her music. Without a doubt, college professors are the most dangerous people in America. They’re not dangerous because they challenge the status quo, or because they encourage their students to think critically. On the contrary, they are dangerous because they encourage impressionable young college students to adhere to the doctrines of the professors they choose without giving them the chance to meaningfully challenge those doctrines.

A Middle Taylor Township road continues to cause issues for a local wedding venue

In Cambria County, some people are not happy with the condition of some of the roads in Middle Taylor Township. One couple says recent grant money awarded to the township was supposed to fix some of those roads, including one that leads to their wedding venue, but they say now the township is using that money to fix other roads in the same area. Edana and David Glessner tell Channel 6 they have become frustrated with Middle Taylor Township as they say they are losing business because of the road that leads to their wedding venue.

Blair County Hair Salon Reopens Despite Governor Wolf's Orders

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa — One local hair salon in Blair County is going against Governor Wolf's order to remain closed. Tame Your Mane, located in East Freedom, first reopened on May 1st. Owner Julie Potter says she had no choice but to save her salon. "Since Friday, we've done nothing but put smiles on peoples faces," says Potter. Potter called the reopening an "SOS", a 'save our salon'. She believes she should have never had to close her doors in the first place.
