ALTOONA, Pa. — Christmas is a season of joy, and Altoona volunteers are giving.
Hundreds of children got the chance to enjoy Christmas early at the annual kids' Christmas party hosted by the Jaffa Shriners.
"We get in the holiday spirit with this," Altoona parent Carla Foust said.
For over 50 years, the Jaffa Shriners have been sharing Christmas with the community.
"I’m so excited to meet Santa Claus," one of the kids said.
CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say a Muncy man is behind bars in Clearfield County after he was accused of having sex with a teenage girl, twice.
Police say 33-year-old Nirav Patel reportedly engaged in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl in a van in Cooper Township.
Police say the teen told authorities that Patel provided her with E-cigarettes in exchange for the sex.
Troopers say Patel also allegedly provided the girl, and another 13-year-old, with alcohol before the second assault.
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Photos show the aftermath of the massive fire at a Blair County lumberyard.
Officials say flames and smoke initially broke out at the US Lumber facility, in Claysburg, around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say all the workers were able to escape the blaze and no injuries were reported.
A state police fire marshal has been called in to help investigate the cause of the massive fire.
WASHINGTON (TND) — Members of Congress turned to K-12 schools after college protests and antisemitic incidents erupted across the country. Some members on Capitol Hill believe grade school is where antisemitism begins, while school administrators pushed back on the claim that antisemitism is running rampant through their halls.
House Republicans grilled three school leaders from large school districts and liberal cities nationwide. The school officials from New York City, Berkeley, California, and Montgomery County, Maryland have all faced allegations of antisemitic incidents in their schools, including hate speech and harassment.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WJAR) — The Rolling Stones made history in Foxborough Thursday night as they performed the venue's 100th concert at the Gillette Stadium.
It's part of their Hackney Diamonds Tour.
The rock and roll hall of famers also performed the first concert in Gillette Stadium history on Sept. 2, 2002.
NBC 10 talked with fans who traveled from as far as Nova Scotia to see the band.
For many, it's not the first time they're seeing The Rolling Stones perform.
