Altoona man behind bars after stealing guns from inside vehicles

An Altoona man is facing multiple felony charges after being the subject of a firearm theft investigation in December. The Altoona Police Department announced in a Facebook post the arrest of Michael Davis III, 22, who stole multiple firearms in Altoona and surrounding areas, two of them confirmed to have been stolen from inside of vehicles. Police said a search warrant was obtained for Davis's cell phone which revealed multiple photos of Davis posing with the stolen firearms.

Changes ahead in how Broadway bars handle patrons after Riley Strain death

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — After the death of University of Missouri student Riley Strain, 22, there’s been a push to make Music City more responsible. Strain was on a trip with his fraternity to Nashville in March, when staff members at Luke Bryan’s Broadway bar asked him to leave for over-drinking. His next path was his last. "He's my best friend. Deaths of missing Schuylkill County teens ruled as homicide

NEW PHILADELPHIA, SCHUYLKILL CO. (WOLF) — The deaths of two missing New Philadelphia teens in Schuylkill County have been ruled as homicides. The Dauphin County Forensic Facility performed autopsies this morning for a 16-year-old victim and 18-year-old Hunter Mock. Although the 16-year-old wasn't named by State Police, the Pottsville Area School District announced that 16-year-old Angelito Xavier Caraballo died. Caraballo was last seen in his residence on Macomb Street on Sunday, Oct.

Morning fire destroys Curwensville home

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. (WJAC) — A morning fire in Clearfield County Tuesday has left a mother and her three children without a home, officials say. According to fire officials on scene, flames broke out at a mobile home on Fulton Road in Curwensville just after 11 a.m. Curwensville Police were the first on scene and reported flames shooting out of the front and side of the mobile home. The family was reportedly in the process of moving out.
